THE CLAIBORNE FAMILY

HERITAGE

Making of the Crest

The Claiborne family story is not simply one of names and dates—it is a living legacy, carried forward through generations with strength, resilience, and purpose.

Our family crest, created in 2011, stands as a visual symbol of that legacy. Every element represents who we are: a family grounded in faith, guided by perseverance, and united across generations. It is not just a design—it is a declaration of identity, a reminder that we come from something meaningful and enduring.

At the heart of our heritage is the year 1615.

This date reflects the extensive genealogical work undertaken to trace our family’s presence in the early American colonies161 years before the formal adoption of the Declaration of Independence, which marked the formation of The United States of America. It represents a commitment to uncovering truth, honoring those who came before us, and ensuring their stories are never lost to time.

To document a lineage that stretches back to 1615 is to acknowledge a journey marked by both challenge and triumph. It is a testament to ancestors who endured, who built, who believed, and who passed down not only their name, but their strength.

Today, we stand as the continuation of that story.

Our family is more than a shared bloodline—it is a shared responsibility. A responsibility to remember, to preserve, and to pass forward the legacy entrusted to us. The Claiborne name carries with it history, pride, and purpose, and it is up to each of us to ensure that legacy continues to grow.

As we gather, celebrate, and reconnect, we do so not just as individuals, but as part of something greater—something that began long before us and will continue long after.

This is our heritage.

This is our story.

This is the Claiborne legacy.

We are greater as a whole;

than our individual parts.
